As a valued member of our team at Aspira Carolina Retirement Living, you will play a critical role in enhancing the lives of our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to resident call bells and door alarms, providing courteous service and addressing their needs in a timely manner.
  • Complete all aspects of resident care as outlined in their plan of care and care assignment, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Transport residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office, and dining room as required, promoting their independence and mobility.
  • Perform laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our residents.
  • Deal tactfully and courteously with residents, their families, and report any concerns or complaints to the supervisor, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Practice safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service, ensuring the health and safety of our residents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role, demonstrating your ability to provide exceptional care and support.
  • Current First Aid/CPR training, ensuring you are equipped to respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions.
  • Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills, enabling you to effectively communicate with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate, demonstrating your commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
