The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Manager to join our team at our Lorette Food Store. As a Produce Manager, you will be responsible for leading the produce department and ensuring that it operates at the highest level of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the produce department, ensuring that sales, margins, expenses, and profits are met or exceeded.
- Ensure that the department is presented in a clean and sanitary manner, with accurate inventory control and purchasing practices.
- Lead employee relations, including hiring, training, development, performance management, discipline, and administration of company policies.
- Build and maintain a strong culture of employee and customer engagement within the department.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- A minimum of three years of retail experience, with previous retail management experience being an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a special ability to motivate employees to achieve strong results.
- A solid understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
