Job Summary:

The Block Clerk PT Thursday position at OPENLANE is a part-time role that requires the incumbent to work during the auctions on Thursdays. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate recording of sale price and buyer information for the vehicles, entering sale data into the LiveBlock system, and performing other duties assigned by the Manager or designated manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate Data Entry: Ensure accurate recording of sale price and buyer information for the vehicles.

  • System Data Entry: Enter sale data into the LiveBlock system as requested.

  • Task Execution: Perform all duties assigned by the Manager or designated manager.

  • Policy Compliance: Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed at all times.

  • Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to customers.

  • Teamwork: Demonstrate friendliness and greet every person with whom they come in contact.

  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and work area consistent with the Handbook.

  • Communication: Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention for all contacts and transactions.

  • Collaboration: Practice and promote teamwork at all times.

  • Example Setting: Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.

  • Communication Flow: Maintain a good flow of communication with all auction personnel.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Experience: One (1) year of clerical experience with minimum intermediate computer skills and accurate data entry skills required.

  • Skills: Must have excellent keyboarding skills and the ability to multitask.

Work Schedule: This position works only on Thursdays from 9:15 am until the auction is completed, usually 4-6 hours, and is paid $150 for the day. Must be available to work all Thursdays.

Transportation: Please note that there is no bus service to the site, so applicants are required to have their own reliable transportation.
