Food Service Manager

Nourish Bistro is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the preparation and portioning of food, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Train and Develop Staff: Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Inventory Management: Estimate and manage ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet our quality control standards.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports as required.
- Scheduling: Establish work schedules for kitchen staff.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Work Setting: Restaurant or bistro environment.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills, client focus, and team player.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Nourish Bistro provides support for social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
- Support for Indigenous People: We provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
