About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Upholstery Craftsman to join our team at Sofa By Fancy Ltd. As an Upholstery Craftsman, you will be responsible for restoring and refurbishing furniture to its former glory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Replace worn-out webbing, springs, and other furniture parts
  • Lay out, cut, fabricate, and install upholstery
  • Tack, glue, or sew ornamental trim, braids, or buttons
  • Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces
  • Operate sewing machines or sew by hand
  • Garnish the bottom and the back of a seat with interwoven rattan
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Manual dexterity
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
Work Environment

This role is based in an urban area, and public transportation is available. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The working hours are 35 to 40 hours per week.
