About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at Byron Community Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Workflow Management: Assist with scheduling and workflow to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Third-Party Billing: Bill third-party insurers for patient services.
  • Claims Processing: Process claims for health insurance and workers' compensation.
  • Supply Management: Maintain supplies and ensure they are readily available for use.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate tracking and ordering.
  • Support for Healthcare Professionals: Assist healthcare professionals with tasks and duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a pharmacy or related setting.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
