About the Role

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining all aspects of the operating system at our recycling plant on Mazenod Road.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily system inspections and document any discrepancies found on a deficiency report.
  • Check the maintenance board for new and outstanding deficiency reports at the beginning of each shift.
  • Conduct emergency repairs as required and perform system maintenance as per priority sequence.
  • Daily maintenance tasks include cleaning of Optical Sorters, Robot, Magnets, Drum feeder S4/S8 screens, conveyors, roller, bearings, shafts, ballistic, glass trammel, and all other components in the facility.
  • Inform the Shift Supervisor or Operations Manager if an immediate repair is necessary.
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly PMI's as outlined in accordance with machine manuals or operational requirements.
