Job Summary

The General Manager will be responsible for leading our team of managers, sales consultants, and front-line employees to deliver outstanding operational results. This role requires a strong leader who can build a high-performing team, drive occupancy, and promote our services to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team of managers, sales consultants, and front-line employees.
  • Operational Planning: Develop and implement short- and long-term operational plans to ensure efficient operation and achieve targeted occupancy, Net Operating Income, and Operating Margin.
  • Communication: Provide support and direction to the team, respond promptly to resident and family member concerns, and ensure site-level compliance with all applicable provincial regulations.
  • Community Partnerships: Foster positive community partnerships with health and service providers, business leaders, civic officials, and other community agencies to promote the home as an integral part of the community.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in retirement living, hospitality, or a similar sector.
  • Skills: Proven track record of effective team management, budget management, and operational excellence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with seniors, their families, team members, and external stakeholders.
