Retail Store Manager

As a Retail Store Supervisor at Esso, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales workers and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail store. This is a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills and contribute to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are working efficiently to meet sales targets.
- Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the role.
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage the store's finances.
- Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to the products they need.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that the store is staffed appropriately at all times.
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers, including sales workers and other staff members.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help inform business decisions.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The role will involve a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and may require standing for extended periods.
Requirements- 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
