About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Cross Border Tax, Family Office practice at KPMG Canada. As a trusted advisor to high net worth individuals and their families, you will work closely with partners and senior leadership on Canadian and US tax planning projects and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and lead engagements including Canadian and US personal tax planning, estate planning, and tax compliance.
  • Develop relationships with clients as their trusted advisor, understanding their needs, and providing tax solutions and planning strategies.
  • Review and/or prepare memos and other deliverables on complex US and Canadian tax matters by analyzing complex issues.
  • Collaborate with other practices and member firms to attract new work to the firm.
  • Present at internal and external forums, contributing to the learning of junior members by participating in delivering technical trainings.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in complex cross border Canada and US personal tax advisory and compliance, including gift and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and shareholders.
  • US and/or Canadian CPA designations, US EA, completion of the In-Depth Tax Course, and a TEP through the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
  • Strong research and writing skills, a commitment to professional and client service excellence, and competency with the Microsoft Office suite.
