Job Title: Continuing Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Wolfville Nursing Homes Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Continuing Care Assistant will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with mobility and transfer residents safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks, ensuring residents' dietary needs are met.
  • Engage residents in activities and provide companionship, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' condition, ensuring timely interventions and referrals as needed.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring residents' needs are met and goals are achieved.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Continuing Care Assistant Certification program.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and the care team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
