Information Security Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Information Security Specialist to join our team at Addenda Capital inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our organization's security posture by directly engaging with users, implementing security protocols, and coordinating with various teams to address and resolve vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively communicate with users to address and resolve identified vulnerabilities;
- Implement and test remediation measures on endpoints;
- Implement security protocols during the onboarding of new employees;
- Ensure new hires are trained on security policies and procedures;
- Monitor and update physical access permissions as needed;
- Provide guidance and support to users on best practices for mitigating risks;
- Work closely with infrastructure and IT support teams to identify and resolve security issues;
- Coordinate efforts to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
- A college diploma in Computer Science or a related field;
- Five (5) years of relevant experience in providing IT technical support;
- Solid understanding of information security practices and principles;
- Strong passion for information security, cybersecurity, and ethical hacking;
- Professional certification in IT, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft AZ-900;
- Comprehensive knowledge of Active Directory, Intune and mobile device management;
- Experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanners;
- Advanced proficiency with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
