Farm Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Farm Labourer to join our team at St. Soldier Farms Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement plans to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient farm operations.
  • Grade and categorize produce according to size, shape, colour, and volume to maximize market value.
  • Perform greenhouse cleaning, mixing fertilizer, and other tasks as required.
  • Organize and manage tasks to achieve optimal farm productivity.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, and maintain accurate financial and production records.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, and provide agricultural crop services.
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, and detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.
  • Perform general farm duties, including grafting activities.
Requirements:
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Permanent employment with 30 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
