HMP CUSTOM CABINETS LTD seeks a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. As a Master Craftsman, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom cabinetry and furniture.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, offering 35-40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, reinforcing joints as necessary.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, preparing and applying laminated plastics.
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, ensuring a high level of quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise other workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Estimate costs and materials, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products, demonstrating creativity and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-6 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
