Saturday International Language Instructor

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced International Language Instructor to join our team at the York Catholic District School Board. As a key member of our Continuing Education department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality language instruction to students in a variety of languages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a total of 110 hours of instruction in a synchronous online classroom setting
  • Develop and implement a communicative language curriculum that meets the needs of students at various levels of linguistic competence
  • Assist students in the development of interpersonal, intercultural, and cooperative skills
  • Maintain a daily log of activities, lessons, and student attendance
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and staff meetings
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
  • Previous experience teaching International Languages
  • Excellent verbal and written knowledge of the language being taught
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to integrate cultural and linguistic activities into the classroom
  • Knowledge and experience using G-Suite
Preferred Qualifications
  • International Languages Training Course Certificate
  • Previous experience in Continuing Education programs
  • Experience working with children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
