Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Management Specialist to join our team at the Government of Alberta. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of our records and information assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement records and information management policies, procedures, and standards that align with Government of Alberta's requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on knowledge management and records management best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement information management systems, including SharePoint, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, and PowerBI.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external resources, including legal and IT partners, to ensure effective information sharing and security protocols.
  • Provide training and support to staff on information management systems and best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with information management policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of records and information management principles, policies, procedures, standards, best practices, and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize information and provide recommendations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
