Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Driver to join the Recreation Therapy team at Hilltop House in Squamish, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and reliable transportation services to and from various locations for clients, including embarking and disembarking passengers, and transporting supplies and materials as needed.
- Operate a variety of vehicles, including vans and cars, to transport clients and supplies.
- Assist clients with mobility issues, such as wheelchair accessibility.
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation operations.
About Hilltop House
Hilltop House is a 61-bed long-term care facility for seniors with complex needs, located in Squamish, BC. The facility provides home-like care for its permanent residents, as well as respite care, a community bathing program, and adult day care for seniors.
Qualifications
- Grade 10 plus two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid Class 4 vehicle license (unrestricted) required.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
