We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemist to join our team at SUN PHARMA. As a key member of our analytical laboratory, you will be responsible for performing complex analytical testing and providing high-quality results to support the development and manufacturing of our pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and non-routine analytical tests of pharmaceutical raw materials, in-process samples, blends, finished products, and stability samples using advanced instrumentation such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV/VIS, FTIR, dissolution apparatus, particle size analyzer, etc.
- Responsible for the timely execution of lab analysis and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Concurrent documentation of all raw data, observations, and results in worksheets, templates, and notebooks.
- Compile and analyze data, notifying supervisors of results and providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Perform quality control testing of exhibit batches and process validation/characterization batches and stability samples.
- Compile data for ANDA submissions and provide to Regulatory Affairs/Operations teams.
- Track and trend lab data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Train junior chemists on laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Support laboratory operations and planning, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols, DEA regulations, and department SOPs.
- Perform calibration and qualification of analytical instruments.
- Execute method transfer and method validation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to laboratory standards.
- Create and maintain clear and concise laboratory records and documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment as needed.
The laboratory environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a focus on quality and accuracy. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and concisely with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements- Minimum BS or equivalent degree in Chemistry or related discipline, MS preferred.
- Understanding of GMP, ICH, and FDA guidelines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate-B1+ level English language proficiency, comparable to Global CEFR Independent B1.
