Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-based database architectures that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-based database solutions using cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Develop and maintain database automation scripts using tools such as Terraform or configuration management utilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that database solutions meet the needs of our clients.
  • Develop and maintain database security standards and governance.
  • Ensure that database solutions are scalable, reliable, and performant.
  • Develop and maintain database metrics and monitoring strategies.
  • Develop and maintain database backup, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in database administration and design.
  • 3+ years of experience in public cloud implementation.
  • 2+ years of experience in software development (DevOps and database admin automation).
  • 5+ years of experience in datacenter technology, architecture, and operational experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in utilizing modern database and security tools.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficient with Jira, Project Management tools, ServiceNow, Observability tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics), PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with database managed services in cloud (like CloudSQL).
