Treasury Expert for Pharmaceutical Company

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company based in Mississauga, requires a skilled Treasury Expert to join their team on a 6-month contract with the possibility of converting to a 1-year or permanent position. This role involves working in-office three days a week.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for daily cash position reporting, preparing reports for North American and Rest of World entities. They will extract data from banking portals, reconcile previous day balances, and forecast current day closing balances.

  • Daily Cash Position Reporting: Extract data from banking portals, reconcile previous day balances, and forecast current day closing balances for NA and ROW entities.
  • Weekly Liquidity Reporting: Manage the collection of incoming data from ROW entities to ensure accurate and timely receipt and processing for the Net Debt Report.
  • 13 Week Cash Forecasting: Collaborate with various entities across different regions to collect timely, accurate, and complete data for input into the 13 Week Cash Forecast Model.
  • Payment Disbursement Administration: Set up wires, ACH/EFT, and cheque payment runs efficiently and on time, ensuring that outgoing funds are remitted in accordance with the 13 Week Forecast.
  • Supplier Banking Information: Maintain a database of templates in the online banking portal to verify, input, and approve supplier banking information.
  • Payment Rail Migration: Assist with the migration initiative to move cheque and wire-paid suppliers and customers to EFT and ACH payment methods.
  • Records Management: Build and maintain a database of electronic records for the GT department, covering cash reporting and supplier payment documentation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4-5 years of treasury experience, including cash flow forecasting, disbursements, processing, and management.
  • Exposure to online banking portals, preferably China, India, Mexico, and Latin America.
  • International exposure to other countries and FX.
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills, including pivots and VLOOKUPs.
  • A designation such as CPA or CTP is an asset, but not required.
  • SAP experience is also an asset.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
