Job Title: Assembly Program Manager

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Assembly Program Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our company.

Job Summary

The Assembly Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and implementation of assembly equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and codes. This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills, as well as expertise in process flow, control plans, and statistical process control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate planning and implementation of product or tool designs
  • Review and approve assembly tooling vendors' proposed designs and processes
  • Monitor vendor progress to ensure adherence to schedules and timelines
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment
  • Assist in the creation, modification, and testing of products and processes
  • Interpret engineering drawings for production personnel
  • Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures
  • Conduct root cause and failure analysis
  • Provide expertise and guidance in problem-solving and technical documentation
Requirements
  • University/ Diploma in Engineering Technology or related engineering field
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience
  • Strong working knowledge of process flow, control plans, PFMEA, statistical process control, and machine controls
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles
  • Knowledge of CAD and design techniques
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to problem-solve and choose best solutions
  • Proficient in work processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and other database functions
