About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC). As a key member of our Cardiac Non-Invasive & Outpatient Services Department, you will be responsible for performing adult transthoracic echocardiograms and assisting Cardiologists in performing semi-invasive diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms using digital echocardiography systems
  • Assist Cardiologists in performing semi-invasive diagnostic procedures, including Transesophageal Echo, Stress Echo, Contrast Echo, and Pericardiocentesis
  • Work with a wide range of diagnostic Cardiology procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations
Requirements
  • Currently registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario
  • Minimum one year recent related work experience with Adult Echo
  • Experience in all aspects of adult echocardiography
  • Experience in scanning patients with complex congenital heart disease (CHD)
  • Knowledge of complex cardiac pathology
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook, and Cardiac Information Databases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills involving time management and prioritization
  • Ability to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to establish relationships with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team
  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment
  • Physically fit and able to perform the duties of the position
  • Knowledge of patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and family-centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC

What We Offer
  • Rate of Pay: $36.84 - $50.24 per hour
  • Temporary Full-Time
  • Duration: October 31, 2025
