Job Summary

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is seeking a Child-Minding Attendant to join their team. This role involves monitoring children, meeting their needs, and providing exceptional customer service in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Creating a safe and caring environment for children
  • Ensuring customers follow guidelines
  • Performing inspections of program equipment to prevent malfunctions
  • Being aware of child/parent dynamics
  • Preparing reports as required
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as the ability to listen and communicate effectively with children, parents, and coworkers. First Aid/CPR certification is required, and knowledge of Child Behavior Management and Risk Management Awareness is considered an asset.

This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E. Local 30, and the successful candidate will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement. A Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check will be required upon hire.
