Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will research and provide creative hardware/software solutions for our Potash operations. You will develop digital solutions to solve problems in real physical environments, collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Information Technology teams, and work directly with sites, including in-person visits with operators, maintenance, managers, and Nutrien subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve Potash operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement digital solutions
  • Work with control engineers to set up solutions to connect to control systems
  • Develop and maintain artifacts for Project Pipeline phases
  • Acquire knowledge of the Nutrien business to enable understanding of where data analytics and advanced computer technologies can help us improve our operations and safety
  • Work with our current environment utilizing Linux, Python, C++, ROS (Python), TensorFlow & SageMaker (AWS)

Requirements

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent program and 3-5 years of related experience
  • Strong understanding of data analytics and machine learning concepts
  • Ability to work with various forms of sensors and data capture devices
  • Experience with Linux, Python, C++, ROS (Python), TensorFlow & SageMaker (AWS)
