Job Title: Victim Specialist

Victim Services of S.D.G. & A. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Victim Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to victims of crime and tragic circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct needs assessments, complete intakes with clients, and develop safety plans to ensure victims receive the help they need.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of professionals and community partners to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Provide crisis interventions and support to victims, while maintaining a non-judgmental and professional demeanor.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, emergency services, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in program evaluation and improvement initiatives to ensure optimal service delivery and team efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in social services, preferably in program support and program/service coordination.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
