Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes leading activities, encouraging creativity, and guiding children in developing proper habits.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
- Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
- Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
- Education: College/CEGEP
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
- Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses: First Aid Certificate
- Target Audience: Children
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check
