About the Role
As a medical doctor with Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical care and leading a team of healthcare professionals in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out clinical work and provide medical care to patients in need
- Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, including providing training, supervision, and coordination
- Support medical data collection and analysis, and develop and implement relevant protocols
- Manage medical supplies and forecast needs
- Collaborate with locally hired health staff and other MSF teams to achieve project objectives
Requirements
- Full and current registration as a medical doctor
- Most specialties can apply right after residency, while family doctors and general practitioners need minimum one-year relevant post-residency work experience
- At least six months of clinical experience within the last two years
- Experience in managing staff in a multicultural team and supervising medical staff
- Excellent command of English, as well as French (level B2) or another language (Arabic, Spanish)
- Relevant travel or work experience in contexts similar to where MSF works
- Available to work six to 9 months
Assets
- Public health experience
- Diploma in tropical medicine
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (especially Excel)
