Job Title: PT Medical Van Driver with 15 hrs./week

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious PT Medical Van Driver to join our team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our transportation team, you will provide safe and secure transportation for our residents to various destinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and secure transportation for residents to various destinations.
  • Ensure the vehicle is maintained and receives regular servicing.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and trips in an effective and planned manner.
  • Monitor the behavior and condition of residents during trips and report any significant changes to the Life Enrichment Manager and nursing staff.
  • Assist with preparing and implementing recreation programs, such as exercise classes, crafts, and social activities.
  • Maintain a positive image of the residence through ongoing communications with the community, family members, staff, and volunteers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of grade 12 education required.
  • Valid Class 4 operator's license, clean driving record, and 2 years passenger driving experience required.
  • Certified in Emergency First Aid and CPR required.
  • Prior experience in recreation programming for a senior population is considered an asset.
  • Dementia experience/knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrates a strong ability to problem solve.
