Senior Axiom Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Axiom Developer to join our team in Halifax. As a key member of our agile squad, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing Axiom tools for UK regulatory reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Axiom objects and processes to optimize performance
  • Review and optimize SQL queries for performance tuning
  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams for development, support, and bug fixes
  • Ensure code and configuration meet company and team standards
  • Prepare and execute unit test cases to test Axiom code
  • Coordinate implementation, including packaging and obtaining approvals
  • Participate in process and practice improvement at RBC Axiom SME level
  • Promote and improve current standards of managing software and tests through version control
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts of the development team
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-6 years of development experience
  • 2-3+ years of Axiom development experience (data sources, data models, modify models, aggregations, portfolios, free-form reports, and tabular reports)
  • 3+ years of Oracle SQL development experience (mandatory)
  • Experience in Unix scripting is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
