Baker Job Description

At East Tea Can, we are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes. You will also be responsible for requisitioning or ordering materials, equipment, and supplies, and training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough and batters according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
  • Schedule staff
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 30 to 44 hours per week
Work Environment:

The Baker will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding job. The Baker must be able to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
