This individual will be responsible for coordinating new technology trials, demonstrations, and testing across multiple customer sectors. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of working with cross-functional teams.

About the Role:

This role involves overseeing the testing of new energy management technologies at customer sites or in lab/pilot plant settings. The Technology Trials and Testing Manager will also be responsible for coordinating energy management trials and demonstration projects at customer sites, conducting research, testing, and reporting on new products and innovative technologies, developing, executing, and managing trials, demonstrations, and testing projects and initiatives for the Innovation team across multiple customer segments, providing project management leadership and direction, leading a multi-disciplinary project team, monitoring trial results to ensure learnings and delivery targets are achieved and/or initiating alternate strategies.

Requirements:

- A Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience. Experience in product management or scientific research and testing is required.
- A technical background that supports general understanding of the technologies being investigated.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, product/program development, and administration, product testing, product research or analysis, financial analysis, all within a large, complex organization.
- Experience working with various partners on project design and project management (e.g., Equipment manufacturers, installers, research agencies, industry associations, other utilities, municipal and provincial government stakeholders).
- Demonstrated ability to seek information from people (internal and external) with diverse opinions, filter, and synthesize the information, and produce a cohesive, supported plan that will support business requirements.
- Well-developed planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaboration and ability to influence others.
- Thrives in a team environment with cross-functional team members, able to work with people with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills for communication with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

- Test new energy management technologies at customer sites or in lab/pilot plant settings.
- Manage energy management trials and demonstration projects at customer sites.
- Research, test, and report on new products and innovative technologies.
- Develop, execute, and manage trials, demonstrations, and testing projects and initiatives for the Innovation team across multiple customer segments.
- Provide project management leadership and direction, leading a multi-disciplinary project team.
- Monitor trial results to ensure learnings and delivery targets are achieved and/or initiate alternate strategies.

Work Environment:

This role will require occasional travel to the TEEMA facilities, supplier, and customer locations. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, assisting and coaching customers as they explore concepts, opportunities, and implement energy plans.

Benefits:
