Relief Pharmacist Opportunity

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a skilled Relief Pharmacist to provide support to our growing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in various locations across Nova Scotia, serving a range of communities. As a Relief Pharmacist with Neighbourly Pharmacy, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and effective drug therapy and contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
  • Foster a culture of patient-focused care, customer service, and workflow efficiencies.
  • Focus on clinical services, including medication reviews, disease state management, and vaccine administration.
  • Determine the appropriateness of drug therapy and monitor medication adherence.
  • Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information.
  • Recommend OTC products and vitamins, and answer questions from patients requiring therapeutic knowledge or clinical analysis.
  • Supervise a pharmacy student or provisional pharmacist in the performance of restricted activities.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists.
  • Certificate of Injection for Drug Administration.
  • Familiarity with Kroll/PharmacLix Rx is an asset.
  • A minimum of one year's experience as a retail Pharmacist is preferred.
