Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Warehouse Worker to join our team. As a key member of our distribution center, you'll play a critical role in preparing and distributing products to our retail stores. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble orders for delivery with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure all orders have proper documentation and are stacked in the proper order.
  • Administer the receiving system, utilizing provided resources and equipment effectively.
  • Receive, load, and unload products in accordance with established Farm Boy guidelines, reporting any quality issues to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Rotate products properly to maintain quality and freshness.
  • Maintain receiving equipment, receiving area, cooler, and storage facilities in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
  • Dispose of collected garbage immediately.
  • Treat suppliers and drivers with respect and fairness.
  • Perform forklift and janitorial duties as required.

Requirements

  • Typically requires up to 6 months of experience in a related industry with working knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and working knowledge of receiving and cooler facilities and equipment.
  • Ability to work from directives with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent physical fitness.
  • Strong orientation towards customer service and team participation.
  • Flexibility in regards to availability and scheduling.
  • Fluency in both official languages is considered an asset.

Work Environment

  • Unavoidable exposure to hazardous or unpleasant environmental elements such as noise, dirt, dust, vibration, and changing temperatures.
  • Lack of control over work pace due to multiple and/or tight deadlines beyond one's control.
  • Required to wear protective clothing or equipment during shifts.
  • Required to lift, carry, or handle heavy objects.
