We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team at Just For You Children's Centre. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking healthy meals for our children and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for our children and staff, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Food Safety and Handling: Ensure that all food is handled, stored, and prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Kitchen Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our kitchen staff and other teams to ensure seamless service and high-quality food.
- Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of our food, ensuring that it meets our high standards.
- Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a daycare or childcare setting.
- Certifications and Training: Possess relevant certifications, such as WHMIS, Safe Food Handling, Food Safety, First Aid, and CPR.
- Language and Communication: Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
