We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As an RPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities in the Leamington area.
Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length, and ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital.
- Reliability to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
- Compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
