Job Title: Senior Food Service Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Food Service Manager to join our team in Charlottetown, PE. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare, portion, and serve food to guests, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellent customer service.
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet demand.
  • Prepare accurate food order summaries for guests, reflecting their dietary preferences and requirements.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures that align with corporate standards, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, reporting regularly to management to inform decision-making.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, emphasizing the importance of safe food handling practices.
  • Supervise and inspect the assembly and delivery of food to customers, ensuring that it meets our high quality standards.
  • Adhere to food quality control standards set by head office, upholding the reputation of our organization.
  • Participate in the selection of food service staff, contributing to the development of a talented and dedicated team.
  • Perform other duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience or 3 years of experience in a restaurant setting, demonstrating expertise in food service management.
  • Punctuality and attention to detail are essential qualities for this role, as is the ability to provide exceptional customer experiences.
  • A team-first mentality is crucial, as you will be working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our goals.
  • You must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends, mornings, and evenings, and possess excellent math skills to manage inventory and finances effectively.
  • Physical demands include lifting 50 pounds repeatedly and daily, so you should be physically capable and able-bodied.
