About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Sports Interactive Entertainment Director who has a proven track record in creating profitable and engaging 'games as a service' experiences. The ideal candidate will have a high-quality bar, experience leading a sizable development team, and a passion for player-first experiences.

The successful candidate will drive the long-term vision for our GaaS experience, partner with design, production, and tech peers, and direct a team of developers to deliver against the vision.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision for our GaaS experience and lead the team to deliver against it.
  • Partner with the Head of Design to create engaging and profitable gaming experiences.
  • Drive the generation and prioritization of the team's backlog, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Evaluate progress and game quality, working with Production to formulate and revise plans as needed.
  • Mentor and manage the design team, championing our framework for designer responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience directing and delivering profitable and engaging 'GaaS' experiences.
  • Experience leading a design team (5+) and directing a sizeable development team (20+).
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for player-first experiences.
  • Appetite for taking on 'Product Owner' responsibilities (backlog management and prioritization).

Salary Range: $132,800 - $196,520 CAD per year (based on location and individual factors). This position may also include additional compensation elements such as bonuses and equity awards.
