Job Overview


CAA Club Group seeks a skilled Data Scientist to lead the development and implementation of data-driven solutions. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data science products.



Key Responsibilities

This position involves the following key responsibilities:




  • Problem Definition and Solution Delivery

Work with analysts, product managers, and domain experts to define business requirements, formulate problem statements, and deliver relevant data science solutions.


Machine Learning Model Development

Develop and optimize machine learning models using a range of data sources, including internal and external data.


Data Preprocessing and Feature Engineering

Own and manage complex ETL pipelines to clean, preprocess, and transform large datasets, and engineer relevant features to enhance model performance.


Model Deployment and Evaluation

Design and implement robust evaluation metrics and frameworks to assess and monitor the performance of machine learning models.



Operational Management


This role also involves:



  • Algorithm Development and Model Deployment

Develop algorithms and predictive models to solve critical business problems, and deploy models to production environments.


Tool Development and Analytics

Develop tools and libraries to help analytics team members efficiently interface with large amounts of data.


Pattern Identification and Visualization

Analyze large, noisy datasets to identify meaningful patterns and create informative visualizations that display complex data relationships.


Quality Assurance and Process Development

Provide quality assurance best practices for data science services, and develop, implement, and maintain version control and testing processes for modifications to algorithms and data analytics.



Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:




  • Advanced Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science

A Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a directly related field is required.


Experience with Machine Learning Algorithms and Tools

Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in Science/Mathematics/Statistics and relevant experience in machine learning algorithms, tools, and technology.


Analytical Problem-Solving Skills

Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches, preferably in the insurance sector.


Data Manipulation and Analysis Skills

Comfortable manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using Python/R libraries and SQL.


Database and Cloud Experience

Familiarity with relational, SQL, and NoSQL databases, and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies.


DevOps and MLOps Experience

Experience in DevOps or MLOps is a plus.


Strong Communication and Documentation Skills

Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner, and strong technical documentation skills.
