We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Richmond area. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in long term and acute care facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
  • Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements
  • Active registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), and proof of negative TB skin test within one year as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible shift times, eight or twelve hours in length.
  • Must be able to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
  • Must be reliable to be placed at an agreed upon facility/unit.
  • Must be in compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
