About the Role
This position reports directly to the [Director of HR] and is responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of human resources management. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement effective HR strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. Your key focus areas will include talent acquisition and management, employee engagement and retention, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance with federal and provincial employment laws.

Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR plans to support business objectives
- Collaborate with leadership to design and deliver training programs that enhance employee skills and productivity
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, managers, and union representatives
- Provide expert guidance on employment law, collective bargaining agreements, and other regulatory requirements
- Analyze workforce trends and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions
- Foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and open communication throughout the organization

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a mining or manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Google Suites, Microsoft Office, and HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
