About the Role

Creaform Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team. As an Electrical Designer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the definition of client needs and propose optimal solutions;
  • Participate in design reviews with different departments;
  • Make recommendations to engineers in charge of functions;
  • Develop connection diagrams according to the requirements of functional blocks;
  • Write engineering notes in accordance with information quality criteria;
  • Participate in the design of panels and harnesses;
  • Develop concepts taking into account current and future variable configurations with analysts and systems engineers;
  • Validate the functional aspect of the design in prototyping and on the assembly line;
  • Participate in the development of the company's technical standards;
  • Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and present work plans;
  • Document from a technical perspective the processes used to promote knowledge transfer and retention.
Requirements
  • Hold a DEC in electrical engineering or other relevant discipline;
  • More than 3 years of experience in product development and systems integration in a manufacturing environment;
  • Experience in PCB design;
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing as an electrical designer;
  • Experience with electrical schematic software (EPLAN, Saber Harness an asset);
  • Excellent mastery in automation of work tools (advanced Excel);
  • Enjoys working in the field of product development;
  • Is mobile for short, medium or long trips;
  • Excellent communication skills in French.
