Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Therapy Services Specialist. As an OT with Closing the Gap Healthcare, you will be working in a fun, upbeat and dynamic environment that keeps you independent and adaptable. You will have the opportunity to use your integrated approach in therapy services to improve the well-being of our clients and build your passion for Home Care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and building accurate therapy care plans based on the real environment of our clients.
  • Developing health promotion programs, prescribing equipment and supplies, and promoting client safety.
  • Exerting critical thinking to provide complex preventative or corrective actions for clients to solve problems that interfere with their ability to do things that are important to them.
  • Collaborating with an inter healthcare team that partners with our clients' family members and caregivers to build an inter-discipline, holistic treatment goals and service plans.

We value independence and flexibility in our OTs, while providing a dedicated support and training system for them. With a hybrid model of care, including face-to-face and virtual, you can build a schedule that works for you and your client.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized Post Secondary program.
  • Current active registration and good standing as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
