**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Simulation Instructor to join our team at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing education and experience working in a simulated hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lab components for Faculty of Health programs
  • Assume responsibility for instruction, student guidance, and assessment within a simulated hospital setting
  • Maintain current knowledge of teaching/learning theories and best practices in nursing education
  • Collaborate with faculty members to develop and implement curriculum

Requirements:

  • Current practicing registration with BCCNM
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experiences in working with diverse groups
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Working knowledge of computers and multi-media technologies
  • Working knowledge of low, medium, and high-fidelity simulation
  • Minimum three years recent diverse clinical nursing practice
  • Good knowledge of WHMIS and other preventative measures required for the safe operation of a nursing lab
  • Demonstrated adherence to the BCCNM Standards of Nursing Practice
  • Fluent in English both written and oral
  • Preference will be given to those candidates with a BPN or BSN undergraduate degree
