The Controller is a key, hands-on role in the organization and will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting and implementing efficient processes within the financial function. This is a role that will require someone to dig into details as well as see the big picture in a growth-oriented organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's financial transactions
- Develop plans for the company's financial growth
- Prepare the company's financial reports
- Take a leadership role in the budgeting process
- Manage the company's office and accounting employees
- Prepare income and expenses statements
- Evaluate and manage financial risk
- Sign off on year ends
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- CPA designation
- Excellent understanding of business and accounting concepts
- Experience in conducting audits
- Experience with spreadsheet and financial analysis software especially Sage Software
- Understanding of taxation, payroll, and other fiscal aspects of a business
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of regulatory and other financial standards and requirements
