About the Role

Vention is seeking a highly skilled 3D developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our Machine Builder platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our 3D CAD engine and related tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and improve our 3D CAD engine, ensuring seamless integration with our Machine Builder platform.
  • Create and enhance 3D tools to facilitate design creation, including snapping, selection, layering, and collision detection.
  • Collaborate with our team to enhance the user interface, tools, and manipulators to assist in the assembly of Vention machines.
  • Accelerate the process of modeling and injecting new parts into our system.
  • Participate in all stages of the software development process as a member of our agile scrum team.
  • Maintain and improve the design and architecture of our Machine Builder's code base.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g., maths, engineering, software).
  • Perfect fluency with at least one major programming language (e.g., Javascript, Typescript).
  • Experience with 3D libraries (Three.js, Unity) and web development (React, CSS) is a plus.
  • Strong linear algebra and good exposure to computer graphics.
  • Experience programming 3D tools and/or creating 3D content creation pipelines is a plus.
