About Access 24/7

Access 24/7 is a single point of contact for AHS and Covenant addiction and mental health services, offering a range of services including assessment, crisis intervention, navigation assistance, and stabilization services to residents of Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Job Description

As an Addictions Specialist, you will provide high-quality, client-centered assessment, treatment, case management, crisis intervention, education, and referral services to clients and their families. You will also develop and implement treatment plans, monitor client progress, and adapt treatment as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality, client-focused, recovery-based assessment, treatment, case management, crisis intervention, education, and referral services to clients and their families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address individual needs and goals.
  • Monitor client progress and adapt treatment as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Addictions or a related field, combined with relevant coursework or experience.
  • Registration under the Health Professions Act (Alberta) and active registration status.
  • Authorization to perform restricted psychosocial interventions and/or restricted activities, as required.
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community stakeholders, clients, and families.
  • Authorization to perform restricted psychosocial interventions, if registered with ACSW.
