Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator at HIGHMILES TRUCK & TRAILER SERVICE LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining work records and logs, monitoring personnel workloads and locations, and organizing warehouse and work areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and logs
  • Monitor and adjust personnel workloads and locations as needed
  • Organize and maintain a safe and efficient warehouse and work area
  • Perform general office duties, including data entry and communication with team members
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with maintenance of communications equipment and ensure seamless operations
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, and respond to emergency situations as required
  • Follow up on issues with work orders and ensure timely resolution
  • Track and manage shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities
  • Overtime may be required to meet business needs
  • Repetitive tasks and physical demands, including standing and walking for extended periods
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations

Experience and Education
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
  • Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
  • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers

Language of Work: English

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
