This Research Assistant role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a sociocultural-ecological study investigating how ecological systems, culture, behavior, cognitive-information processing styles, and psychological temperament interact and influence violent individuals. As a key member of our research team, you will work closely with Dr. Edward Taylor to design, implement, and analyze data for this project. Your responsibilities will include conducting complex literature searches, identifying and summarizing findings from articles, documents, and web information, collecting and analyzing data, preparing and presenting research findings, and collaborating with the team to develop research questions and interpret results.Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong academic background in social work, psychology, or a related social science field. You should have current enrollment in the MSW program at UBCO and experience conducting literature searches and writing literature reviews. Excellent reading, comprehension, and writing skills are essential, as well as the ability to search the web for applicable literature and interviews, work collaboratively with the team leader and other R.A.s, and participate in writing articles for publication. Familiarity with databases and spreadsheets is also required, and preference is given to individuals who have experience using qualitative and quantitative analysis software.Benefits
