About the Role
This position involves working as a Nurse Practitioner at Raven Song Clinic, providing comprehensive primary care to vulnerable populations facing complex medical, social, substance use, and mental health challenges. You will join a team that offers enhanced health supports for newly housed individuals, including outreach and in-clinic provision of primary care.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients, diagnose diseases, disorders, and conditions
• Initiate treatment plans, manage patient care, and prescribe medications according to statutory standards, employer policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to identify trends and patterns impacting client well-being
• Develop population-based strategies to promote health, participate in quality improvement activities, and contribute to policy-making
• Participate in peer, program, and self-review to evaluate service outcomes at individual, community, and population levels
Requirements
• Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Four years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience
• Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
• Ability to apply developmental stages, behavioral sciences, pathophysiology, psychopathology, epidemiology, and evidence-based practice to clinical diagnosis and patient management
• Physical ability to perform job duties
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is CAD $74.48 - CAD $81.93 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
