Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to lead our team at Regent Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position working 32-40 hours per week. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with a focus on delivering high-quality food and service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and efficient use of resources.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing costs.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates, analyzing data to inform decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for future planning and optimization.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required; relevant experience an asset.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service supervision or a related field.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive benefits such as paid time off, health insurance, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
